Bryan E. Bledsoe, DO, FACEP

Dr. Bledsoe began his career in EMS in 1974
as an EMT. He became a Paramedic in 1976,
attending one of the first Paramedic programs
in North Texas. He served in Fort Worth for
several years and became an EMS Instructor
and Coordinator. He holds certifications
as a PALS Instructor, ACLS Instructor, and
numerous others.
Dr. Bledsoe obtained his undergraduate degree
at the University of Texas in Arlington and
graduated from medical school at the University
of North Texas. He interned at Texas Tech
University, and completed his residency at
Scott and White/Texas A&M College of
Medicine. He is Board-Certified in Emergency
Medicine and has served as the Medical Director
for two hospital emergency departments and
numerous EMS agencies in North Texas.
He is the author of numerous EMS textbooks
including: Paramedic Care: Principles & Practice,
Paramedic Emergency Care, Prehospital Emergency
Pharmacology, Anatomy and Physiology for
Emergency Care, and many others. He
is a frequent contributor to EMS magazines
and presenter at national and international
EMS conferences
When he is not practicing medicine or teaching,
Dr. Bledsoe enjoys saltwater fishing, and
lives with his wife in Midlothian, Texas.
