Bonnie Wells - Instructor

Bonnie Wells joined TPS in Feb. of 2003
as a Lead Instructor in the tri-county region
of Hood, Somervell, and Erath counties of
Texas.
Bonnie began her EMS career in South Texas
while serving as a Peace Officer for the
City of Devine. She received her Basic Peace
Officer Certification in 1982, and her EMT
certification with TDH in 1984. Bonnie continued
on in EMS by obtaining an Instructor/Examiner
Certification with TDH in 1986. In 1991 she
began studying for Paramedicine, and received
her Paramedic Certification in 1992.
Bonnie is currently employed with a private
gated community/city, deCordova Bend Estates
on the lake in Granbury TX. She has been
employed as the Chief of Security since being
hired in 1987.
Bonnie has belonged to the DCBE/ACTON Volunteer
Fire Department since June of 1987, holds
Basic Certification in Firefighting, and
has held the following positions: Secretary,
Chairperson of Fundraising, Lieutenant of
EMS; and has received numerous awards for
safety, service, EMS Person of the Year,
EMT-P of the Year,and has received recognition
in the local newspaper for bringing EMS education
to a higher standard in Hood County.
Bonnie has two daughters, Katrina --holding
EMT certification and working as an extermintor
for Estes Exterminating, and Kelly who holds
a phlebotomy certification and works for
the Fresenius Kidney Dialysis Center in Granbury.
Between the two of them, Bonnie has been
blessed with five grandsons.
Bonnie is an avid hunter and guides during
deer season in the Hill Country region of
Texas. She is also VP of H20 Pro Mobile Powerwashing
Co., and owns a freelance artistic mosaic
tile furniture business.
