Hazardous Materials Awareness

This course is designed to provide the student with the basic skills necessary to manage the initial activities of an emergency involving the uncontrolled release of dangerous chemicals. It focuses on those individuals in local jurisdictions who are most likely to be called to a hazardous substance release and who are expected to initiate emergency response activities.

EMS HazMat Responder Level I

Presents the knowledge objectives, competencies and skills required by, EPA, SARA, FEMA, NFPA DOT, and all those other regulating patient care at HAZMAT incidents. 8 hour class.

EMS HazMat Responder Level II

Level II training is required for those emergency responders who may have to provide treatment to injured peronnel in the warm zone or who may have to treat and transport a contaminated patient to the hospital. Level II provides training in decontamination procedures and treatment of chemically exposed patients and responders. 8 hour class.
