Dr. James Slayton - Academy Medical Director

Dr. Slayton has served as an instructor with Tech Pro Services since 2002. He is currently on staff at Eastland Memorial Hospital and serves as medical director for North Central Texas EMS as well as several rural first responder organizations.

Dr. Slayton obtained his BS in Psychology at Southwest Texas State University in 1991. A Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in 1998, and completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Osteopathic Medical Center of Texas in 2001. Dr. Slayton is board certified in Internal Medicine and holds certificaiton as a PALS and ACLS intstructor.

Dr. Slayton has his private practice in Eastland Texas and also serves as Medical Director of Tech Pro Services EMS Academy. He is active in coordinating rural EMS service in Eastland county and works closely with several EMS companies.

In his spare time, of which there is little, Dr. Slayton enjoys hunting, fishing, and family time.
